Sadly, some people actually believe the world is less than 10,000 years old. These are creationists.
Wouldn’t a worldview of reason and evidence over superstition and dogma be better? We want to make sense of observations that don’t rely on religious texts and the myriad interpretations they engender. This video shows how science, once allowed to prosper, bears a fruit of understanding with incredible power to explain and understand our surroundings.
In America, over half of the population is ignorant to an incredible array of evidence supporting evolution and other scientific facts. Denying it is just as ridiculous as denying the holocaust or other well-recorded historical facts. Such denial is a travesty, robbing society of truth. Religion dupes its blind-faith followers into accepting dogma for which there is no evidence. If only such believers would require the same standard of evidence they do for most other parts of their lives.
All we ask is that people look at their faith and ask “does it add up?” Does prayer work as advertised? Do verifiable miracles happen? What really is the evidence for evolution and an old earth? Why does a loving God sentence the vast majority of humanity to eternal while being so coy about his very existence? And many other questions. If it doesn’t add up, you should be asking yourself why.
We might only be able to be agnostic about God, but we can be atheistis regarding God as described by most modern religions which make quite falsifiable claims.
Use your brain and ask yourself “does it add up?” If you find, under any amount of evidenciary scrutiny, that it does not add up, you must look around: you’ll be amazed at what you find.

Im doing a essay on the dark ages in europe on medical advancements conflicting with the church. Does anyone have any specific information or links on how the medieval catholic church slowed new medical discoveries and research??
You have quite a bit to unlearn.
First, the "Dark Ages" is a derogatory term for the European Middle Ages used by Protestants to trivialize and demonize the Catholic Church of the time. The term referred to a supposed lack of learning in the period. Actually, the Middle Ages were not really so "dark." Legitimate historians do not use the term.
The catholic church has sponsored and supported responsible medical advancements throughout history.

There are two kinds of evolution. Microevolution is a small change within a species. Macroevolution is the supposed change of one species into a completely different species. Microevolution explains the differences between members of the same species, e.g., beagles and wolves. Macroevolution (a.k.a. Darwinism) is a speculation not supported by facts, yet believed fervently by those who don’t like to recognize their origin in a supernatural creator.
Darwinists claims that primitive bacteria somehow appeared on earth (they don’t like to deal with the question of how inanimate matter came to life) and then began to mutate into more complex creatures with new limbs and organ systems, eventually morphing into man, from the goo to you via the zoo. They can’t demonstrate this in any actual creature by showing an incremental change in the fossil record.
About all you can expect from Darwinists is to belittle and insult anyone who questions their dogmatic faith in mutant bacteria. As you will note in the answers here, they rarely even try to cite any evidence, though they claim the evidence is overwhelming. Unfortunately, they have a monopoly in the school system and courts so that those who question the goo-to-you theory are drummed out of the teaching profession.
Jesus said (Matthew 19:4), "Haven’t you read," he replied, "that at the beginning the Creator ‘made them male and female’?" Jesus’ words imply God’s direct hand in creating the human species. We are not the chance product of mutant bacteria, but creatures made in God’s image.

We know Jesus is the perfect representation of God. He is God’s express image and reflection. And we know the fullness of Deity dwells in him. Is this enough to make him God?
Or is he still God’s Son?
Does this qualify him to be part of a Trinity?
Or is Jesus indeed a Mighty God, but by the will and power of the Almighty God?
Why does the fullness dwell in him? He is the Anointed One.
